As Divisional Director, David is responsible for leading and overseeing the strategic direction of the Company’s property management finance department, ensuring it is aligned with our client’s overall business objectives. His core responsibilities include driving business growth, financial planning and analysis, overseeing financial reporting, and managing financial risk.

David began his career in finance by joining RBK Chartered Accountants, where he underwent rigorous training and gained valuable experience to become a qualified Accountant. David held a management role in RBK’s restructuring and insolvency department were he successfully project managed and oversaw the financial aspects of numerous residential and commercial property disposals. He also played a pivotal role in the redevelopment and delivery of various social housing schemes to approved housing bodies, making a tangible impact in the community.

In 2018, David joined HWBC bringing a proven track record within the property finance sector. Over the years David has provided and overseen fund accounting, financial reporting, and financial relationship management services to the Company’s clients while driving continuous process improvement within the property management finance department, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in its operations.

With over a decade of experience in the property finance industry, David brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role. With a background in a Top 10 accounting practice, he has contributed to the yearly audit of prominent companies in various regions. This experience has equipped him with a comprehensive understanding of financial best practices and regulatory compliance.

Throughout his professional journey, David has demonstrated exceptional negotiation skills and has successfully collaborated with high-profile tenants to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes. He has also led various projects, employing his expertise in gathering, verifying, and analyzing information to develop effective strategies that enhance property assets and drive growth.

David oversees the operations of the property management finance division where he is responsible for financial planning and analysis, ensuring accurate and insightful reporting, and effectively managing financial risks.

A founding director of HWBC, Joe advises clients’ on all aspects of commercial property including acquisition, disposal, development pre-funding, asset management, rent reviews and valuations across the retail, office and industrial sectors.

Having studied Property Economics in DIT Bolton Street, Joe has over 28 years’ experience in the commercial property industry, initially with NCB, then Palmer McCormack where he was a full partner before becoming one of HWBC’s founding directors in 2005.
Joe acts on behalf of a wide array of clients from institutions and funds to property companies and private individuals, including partnerships & syndicates, banks and “non-property” companies.

As a director, Stephen has overall responsibility for the operation of the Property Management Department. Stephen also manages a portfolio of assets while providing clients advice and consultancy services on tenant management, service charge structures and lease covenants.

Stephens’s career began in the architectural sector assisting in the design, planning and construction stages of residential and commercial projects. A move to property management in 1998 and gaining experience in the management of residential and mixed-use developments led him to HWBC on its formation in 2005.  Since joining HWBC Stephen has gained considerable experience in the management of commercial property assets and tenant management while also contributing to business development, marketing and promotional activity for the firm. Stephen became a director in 2011. He is a Chartered Surveyor and member of RICS & SCSI.

With a mixed property portfolio value in excess of €1.7Bn under management, much of Stephen’s time is committed to maintaining the high level of service for which HWBC is renowned, underpinned by his talented team of property experts. Over the last number of years he has played an integral part in acquisitions projects teaming up with colleagues in agency, investment and asset management to deliver successful outcomes on projects including the transition of the property management role on Acorn Retail Portfolio (€170m, 4 regional shopping centres), Project Spectrum (€120m, 5 regional shopping centres) and the Tolka Portfolio (€400m various properties). Other recent projects include Vertium office building (€150m) and Liffey Valley shopping centre (€630m).

Stephen’s clients include Kennedy Wilson, GLL Real Estate, Colony Northstar, Varde Partners and Irish Life.

Chartered Surveyor and RICS Registered Valuer involved in all aspects of professional services concentrating principally on valuations and landlord & tenant matters. Daily tasks include conducting fund valuations, portfolio valuations, secured lending valuations, rent reviews, renewals, restructures. Occasional and regular tasks include purchase and loan acquisition due diligence and feasibility and strategic advice.

After graduating with a B.A. in Real Estate from the Dublin Institute of Technology in 2005, Amanda began her career as a residential negotiator with Vincent Finnegan Ltd. She joined HWBC in 2007 and continued her education graduating in 2009 with a First in BSc (Hons) Property Studies through DIT. She has successfully gained Chartered Status in September 2012 following a two-year Assessment of Professional Competency. More recently in 2020 Amanda completed and was awarded with a PRINCE2 project management accreditation and in 2021 she completed a PostGrad Cert with Distinction through TU Dublin in the Fundamentals of Data Science.

Since joining HWBC over 15 years ago, Amanda has gained invaluable experience in all types of professional services work. She is client facing on both an individual basis or in a team capacity with a multitude of clients, including banks, private equity, private individuals and institutions.

She has led, managed, and been involved in many large-scale property projects, including portfolio valuations and property / loan acquisitions. Amanda is regularly involved in complicated due diligence tasks and has a wide-ranging knowledge on various aspects of the property sector.

A founding director of HWBC Conor operates at a strategic level across all departments with particular emphasis on the commercial office sector.

Conor began his career with Druker Fanning and Partners, he then spent ten years in Lisney’s office department before moving to Palmer McCormack in 1987 where he remained until HWBC’s inception in 2005.

Conor has ample experience in office and investment property as well as development land including development advice, sales, lettings and acquisitions. Recent significant projects include the 130,000 sq. m. East Point Business Park and Harbour Square, a 25,000 sq. m. mixed use development in Dún Laoghaire.

As a Divisional Director Jonathan is responsible for the physical and financial operations of a client’s property investment. Providing professional property management advice and stewardship across a range of assets, as the lead for a number of long standing HWBC clients.  

Jonathan studied and qualified in BSc (Hons) Estate Management before joining O’Dwyer Property Management where he gained experience in the residential property management. Jonathan joined HWBC in March of 2007 as a commercial property manager. He is a qualified Chartered Surveyor and a member of RICS and SCSI

A varied experience covering residential, mixed use, retail and offices properties. The core of Jonathan’s work is now focused on office and retail management, working for several years with some of our established clients and their portfolios.

Jonathan has also project managed all IT related matters within the business, our GDPR compliance and utility management.

Jenny is part of the investment team which sources commercial investment opportunities for both private and institutional clients in Ireland and throughout Europe. She is responsible for advising clients on all aspects of acquisitions, disposals and general investment matters in the Irish market.

After graduating with a Degree in Property Economics B.Sc (Surv) Bolton Street, Jenny began her career in the Property Information Consultancy in CBRE before joining HWBC Allsop in 2011 to work in the Receivership Department. She then moved to the Investment Department in HWBC in 2014 and is a Chartered Surveyor.

With 12 years’ experience, Jenny has been involved in a wide variety of complex instructions with varying degrees of responsibility. She has gained valuable experience across a broad spectrum of property sectors including PRS/BTR, retail, office, car parks, hotels, primary care centres with services to include traditional investment advice, asset management, general surveying & development agreements

Iain has 20 years’ real estate experience. Prior to joining HWBC, Iain held senior Fund Management and Property Company positions in Ireland and the UK. He is a Chartered Surveyor.

Iain specialises in complex assets and development and has had a senior involvement in many major assets and developments including The Square SC, Tallaght; Blackpool SC, Cork and Burlington Plaza, Dublin along with schemes in London, Manchester and Liverpool in the UK.

Iain leads HWBC’s 32 property professionals across Agency, Property Management, Investment, Asset Management and Professional Services.

Iain has a wide industry contact base across investors, occupiers and other service providers reflecting his particular expertise in strategic Asset Management and Investment.

Iain has 27 years’ real estate experience. Prior to joining HWBC, Iain held senior Fund Management and Property Company positions in Ireland and the UK. He is a qualified Chartered Surveyor.

Iain has a significant track record of success. Significant transactions that he has led include:

• Forward purchase of Butter Yard, a significant South Dublin residential scheme for M&G Real Estate, their first residential investment in Ireland.
• Off market acquisition of portfolio of four multi-let Industrial parks for international investor.
• Asset Management of portfolio of three Dublin office assets including oversight of letting, planning and restructure negotiations followed by execution of sale strategy
• Acquisition Management of Liffey Valley Shopping Centre for €647m, including leadership of due diligence process and structuring on behalf of BVK/Universal Investments.

After graduating with a Diploma in Property Economics (DIT, Bolton Street), BSc (Surv) (Trinity College Dublin) and a Diploma in Business Studies (Smurfit Graduate School of Business, UCD) Paul began his career in the Office Agency department of Hamilton Osborne King in 1995 before moving to Palmer McCormack in 1997 where he was made Partner in 2001 and then joined HWBC on its foundation in 2005 as a Director.

Paul has extensive experience acting on behalf of Landlords, Tenants, Developers and Institutions giving a broad perspective on the occupational, letting, sales and development for the Dublin Office Market.

The underwrite and pre-funding of the Vertium Building (172,000 sq ft) for Union Investment in 2015.

Acquisition and re-letting advice on Pelham House, South County for Friends First in 2015-2016.

Acquisition, development and letting of The HIVE Sandyford (73,000 sq ft) on behalf of U+I Group plc

Roles & Responsibilities within HWBC

Paul is a qualified Chartered Surveyor and Director in charge of Office Agency in HWBC.

Gerry is the Director of the Professional Services Department.
After graduating with a Diploma in Property Economics (DIT, Bolton Street); and Bachelor of Science Degree in Surveying (Trinity College Dublin), Gerry began his career in Palmer McCormack in 1997 and worked in the various agency departments before specialising in the area of Professional Services and Valuations. He joined HWBC on its foundation in 2005 as a Director.
Gerry has 20 years” experience in the commercial property market specialising in valuations, rent reviews, lease renewals, and other advisory roles including acquisition, due diligence and strategy.
He has extensive Landlord and Tenant experience gained through rent reviews, lease restructures and renewals undertaken in Dublin and other major urban locations countrywide across a broad range of commercial property sectors on behalf of institutional clients, banks, private clients and other corporate occupiers.
Vast experience in the area of valuations; Fund valuations for ICAV, non-UCIT, other collective vehicles and institutional purposes; Secured lending valuations for all major financial institutions and Valuations for tax, financial and other balance sheet purposes.
Gerry’s experience also extends to advising clients on loan acquisitions and portfolio acquisitions and he was recently prominently involved in the acquisition of a multi-layered portfolio of prime office, retail and multi-use assets.
Provides general property related advice to clients from the perspectives of asset management, strategic assessment and feasibility appraisals.

Tony is co-founder and executive chairman of the firm. He has a wealth of experience in the capital markets, specializing in all aspects of property investment including advice on acquisitions, sales, development, funding, and asset management.

Tony has also focused on providing a ‘bridge to capital’ for developers & investors having strong links with private and institutional equity.

Prior to founding HWBC, Tony was an equity Partner at Palmer McCormack for over 12 years having merged NCB Property (which he previously formed and headed the Property division of after leaving Jones Lang in 1988) with them in 1992. Having originally qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1978, Tony has over 40 years’ experience across all areas of the commercial property industry.
