OBRIENS FINE WINES & SPIRITS ACQUIRE STORE AT THE BLANCHARDSTOWN CENTRE

O’Brien’s Fine Wines & Spirits are set to open their thirtieth store at The Blanchardstown Centre, Ireland largest shopping and leisure destination. Developed by Green Property, the scheme extends to 120,000 sq m and is home to a number of major retailers including M&S, Debenhams, Dunnes, Penneys, H&M, River Island, Zara and TK Maxx.

O’Brien’s Fine Wines are an Irish company synonymous for retailing wines beers and spirits and are responsible for exclusively importing over 1,000 different wines annually from over 55 wineries worldwide. 

O’Brien’s currently have a network of 29 stores located throughout the country having opened their original store in Bray, Co. Wicklow in 1945. Today O’Brien’s currently employ over 240 people nationwide and last year they triumphantly won “Retailer of the Year” at the 2010 Retail Excellence Awards. 

The new unit in Blanchardstown will extend to 140 sq m in total and will represent the thirtieth store within their portfolio. In May this year, O’Brien’s opened a new 483 sq m flagship south city store at The Park Retail Park in Carrickmines.

O’Brien’s are currently fitting out their new unit and are scheduled to open for trade in Blanchardstown by the end of June 2011.
