BOOTS AND COSTA COFFEE TO OPEN IN LIMERICK RETAIL PARK

Boots the Chemist are to open before Christmas at Childers Retail Park in Limerick. The new unit extends to 959 sq m and will be one of their largest stores in Ireland where Boots operates 55 outlets and employ 1,700 people. Boots will be paying a rent in the order of €250,000 per annum.

Elsewhere at the scheme a new stand alone Costa Coffee outlet is under construction adjoining the existing food occupiers KFC and Pizza Hut. Costa Coffee are the largest UK gourmet coffee chain with over 1000 outlets. The new unit will extend to 150 sq m and they will be paying a rent in the order of €75,000 per annum.

Childers Road Retail Park is consistently cited as one of the country’s most successful retail destinations. The scheme which is Irelands largest Retail Park outside of Dublin extends to over 25,000 sq m. It is anchored by a 5,500 sq m Dunnes Stores with both a grocery and clothing offer and which trades 24 hours. Other major occupiers include Next, Wallis, Burtons, Dorothy Perkins, Lifestyle Sports, Argos, Maplins and Smyths Toys.
